Marion Abeille

After studying Fine Arts for 5 years in Marseille near the sea, she graduated. Things that bump into the walls of the white room, machines rubbing against the emptiness of the gallery (http://lartvraiment.blogspot.com/2006/05/petits-drames-lart-den-finir.html) and the will not to make art alone in a workshop, a will to share and take part in collective projects.


She turned to the theatre as the base of these machines was always a text (Desire and Permission To Drive - Pornography - Jelinek, Offending the Audience - Handke).
As a result, she went up north, to Brussels, for her first set design, at the I.N.S.A.S on Les Amantes a graduation project by Virginie Strub.

And then back to Marseille, for some "workshopping" on projects for the theatre (François Michel Pesenti, Dominik Barbier, Stéphane Arkas).

Sharing a flat gave rise to new encounters and collaborations (On a du pain sur la planche... qu'il y pourrisse with Arno Calleja, peeping me with Paulo Guerreiro and Lucie Delorme - http://peepingphotos.blogspot.com/).

And the never-ending need to meet and create in the city of Marseille.

Meeting Lou Colombani and Geoffrey Coppini who worked alongside Paulo and myself and wanting to collaborate on their respective projects (Far Far Far Away (2009) - ACTE Vegas (2010)- http://www.last-cie.com/index.php?page=acte-vegas).

New encounters in Paris too leading to film (Viva Delorme -http://vimeo.com/vivadelorme, Émilie Jouvet-http://www.emiliejouvet.com/#/too-much-pussy-feminist-slut/3532192, Orest Romero-http://vimeo.com/13434618) and moving places.

Now in Paris working as a strong technician at the NEF - Manufacture d'utopies (http://www.la-nef.org/ ) and burlesque stripping performances (http://violettefriguidass.blogspot.com/).

Willing, meeting, designing, yet again, but without a plan.

J’ai mis l’accent sur le visible. Je voudrais aller vers des choses légèrement moins visibles en montrant comment la télévision peut, paradoxalement, cacher en montrant,
en montrant autre chose que ce qu’il faudrait montrer si on faisait ce que l’on est censé faire, c’est-à-dire informer; ou encore en montrant ce qu’il faut montrer, mais de telle
manière qu’on ne le montre pas ou qu’on le rend insignifiant, ou en le construisant de telle manière qu’il prend un sens qui ne correspond pas du tout à la réalité.

Fusion et contradiction du corps social est le point de départ de la rencontre entre Marion Abeille - plasticienne - , Geoffrey Coppini - metteur en scène - et Paulo Guerreiro - danseur/performeur - , pour travailler ensemble sur scène, tout en se déplaçant de leur pratique d’origine.
Far Far Far Away cherche une mise en relief de codes tant artistiques que quotidiens, à partir d’images universelles, pour les déconstruire. Peu à peu, les clichés se craquellent pour laisser place à des êtres nostalgiques d’un idéal.
