This 5th edition of Parallèle festival, which is now yearly, is yet again a confirmation of our will to open up, collaborate and share.

With artists coming from Poland, Tunisia, Belgium, Colombia, Australia, Switzerland and France.

With the public, which we hope will come in numbers, open to discovery and interested in the way a new generation of artists see the world.

With national and international professionals from the cultural sector: theatres, festivals, contemporary creation venues and cultural institutions. We do believe that several people carrying out actions gives them more strength and impact, for the benefit of artistic creation, circulation of ideas, creativity, know-how, intangible values, and what makes us human.

The Parallèle festival is a place and an opportunity to meet the public, the artists and their work; and for the artists to meet each other too.

It makes it possible for Marseille stage directors and choreographers to show their work within an international programme, in partnership with local cultural structures working alongside them.

Here disciplines are mixed and fuel each other: theatre, dance, performance, video and for the first time, visual arts.

This year, the Parallèle festival is the instigator of the diffusion of Magnificat by Marta Górnicka in Marseille (Le Merlan), Aix-en-Provence (le Bois de l’Aune with 3bisf and Théâtre Antoine Vitez), Martigues (Les Salins) and Tours (Écoute-Voir festival); many occasions for the viewers to see an unwaveringly and radiantly necessary show. Supported by Parallèle, this tour brings together partners aware of the territorial dimension of our project: the dissemination of young international creation regionally, multiplying the possibilities for the audience to discover the work of these artists, including outside major cities, improving the diffusion of shows.

The Parallèle festival is about all these dynamics, and you are welcome to be a part of it!
